Instructions
- 🍳 Method of Preparation
- Making the Divine Rice Kheer
- Heat milk in a heavy‑bottomed pan.
- Add soaked rice and simmer on low heat. Stir occasionally.
- When milk thickens and rice softens (≈30‑40 min), add sugar/jaggery.
- Mix in cardamom powder and saffron‑infused milk.
- Stir in chopped dry fruits. Cook 5 more minutes till creamy.
- Remove from heat; let it cool for Naivedya and then chill for later serving.
- Preparing Soft Crispy Puris
- In a bowl, mix flour, semolina, salt, ajwain, ghee and warm water. Knead into firm dough.
- Rest dough for 10 minutes.
- Roll small balls, roll into 2-inch discs gently.
- Heat oil; deep fry each puri until puffed and golden. Drain on paper towel.
- Keep puris warm and crispy.
